Valentina The sound collector about the school

In the school

A stranger called this morning
Dressed all in black and grey
Put every sound into a bag
And carried them away

The shouting of the childrens ahhhh!
The wind blowing woooshh
The sound of the dice rolling ta ta ta
Childrens running p the stairs bum bum bum

Playing instruments bum bum cha!
The kids singing do re mi fa sol
Breathing all the time hoo haa hoo haa
Teachers knocking on doors knock knock

Putting a paper in the portfolio clink clink
Insects in the garden zzzz
The click of the pen ta ta
Childrens flipping some books trrrrr

Chairs and tables moving grrrrr!
Everybody clapping after assembly clap clap clap
Peoples sneezing ah ah ah achoooo!
Angry teachers slamming the door

Students always writing in the book
Telephones always ri ing ring ring
Everybody talks and look
Happy students swinging in the garden
And push each others on the swing

Every students have emotions
Crying, angry, pounding, laughing
Pulling out the tray to get books zshhh zshhh
Getting homework for the school

Put away everything ta dan
Packing bags ready for home time
Have a break and have some food mmm...
In the car and put the key in

  1. I love this poem Valentina. It looks like you have been collecting sounds for years. I really like the clever way you try to spell all the different sounds too.
A great piece of work !
